Overview

The goal of inclusion, diversity, equity and inclusion training is to increase your understanding of inequity and how it operates, develop your vocabulary and fluency around race and racism, an identify how you can play a more active role in dismantling systemic oppression across all contexts of your life- both personal and professional. Engaging in our training will help you find a sense of purpose, solidify your goals, and empower you to be a change agent for a more inclusive, equitable and just society.

Objectives

Our training helps participants:
  • Understand how inequity and oppression operate at individual, institutional, and ideological levels.
  • Identify how their own life experience and social positions impact their perception.
  • Improve their ability to see the world more clearly and empower them to act from this awareness.
  • Learn where and how they can apply this new knowledge in both their personal and professional lives to serve as change agents for a more equitable and just society.

Anti-Bias Training for Hiring Committees

The goal of anti-bias training is to help hiring committees develop awareness around common problems in reasoning and decision-making that can stand in the way of hiring the best candidate for the job.

This training will help the hiring committee:
· develop a deeper understanding of various human biases and why we all have them,
· learn how biases influence hiring decisions,
· develop individual countermeasures to mitigate biases, and
· develop group processes and practices that foster more ethical, effective and rational hiring decisions.
